As an Implementation Specialist (IS), you will be responsible for the successful implementation of enhancement and modification requests from our laboratory customers. Successful implementation includes documenting new change requests by creating user stories to describe changes to internal development teams. You will also become a subject-matter-expert for the NovoPath application and laboratory practices.  To be successful, you will ensure implementations are of the highest quality, accuracy, and timeliness, and will collaborate deeply with NovoPath’s internal implementation, technical support, software development, and client success teams.

We are looking for someone with fresh ideas, ability to learn our proprietary LIS software quickly, and the ability to present possible solutions to any problem the team encounters.  The ideal candidate is someone excited to join a small and growing software company.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers functional specifications, design documents, business process workflow and related documentation for new development projects and/or enhancement and modification requests
  • Responsible for defining and executing the delivery and implementation of customer requests
  • Serve as a team resource on application related matters and attend calls as a subject matter expert related to application matters.
  • Document and execute test plans and manage testing with client.
  • Consult with programmers and product teams as needed to complete implementation and delivery of project requests.
  • Support project team with releases to non-production and production environments
  • Promote business growth from existing clients by ensuring they receive world-class responsiveness, accuracy, and timeliness of specialized project services.
  • Become a subject-matter-expert in NovoPath’ s products and how it can be applied to each laboratory’s unique workflow
  • Verify system changes to ensure they meet the customer’s requirements
  • Meet or exceed project deadline and budgetary expectations
  • Analyze existing systems and generate as-is technical documentation including flow charts, models, procedures, and user guides

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2 years healthcare industry experience preferred
  • 2 + years’ experience in a customer facing role
  • LIS and/or healthcare application experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to present, communicate to, and listen to customers with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Propensity to take initiative; thrives with change and ambiguity 
  • Strong social and self-awareness skills – Ability to complete tasks and assignments with a positive, professional, and friendly approach
